If we talk about Google Drive, it is now one of the most used productivity tools. Google Drive is a file storage and synchronization service which was developed by Google.
We all want to create backups of your important data just to make sure that our data is safe and well protected. A few days ago, we had shared a news in which we talked about Google Drive’s upcoming features.
Google had already teased the Backup and Sync app that promised to keep our computers in full synchronization mode all times. Now, Google had officially launched the revamped version of Google drive app for Mac and Windows PCs.
Backup and Sync is the revamped version of the Google Drive app which has some new features. The new app replaces the Google Photos desktop uploader app also.
The new Backup and Sync app backs up the files and photos from your computer and stores them directly to Google Drive and Google photos. Users just need to install the app and then need to go through the preferences and then choose the folders you need to backup.
Not only these, the app also has the feature to back up files from other devices such as phones, SD cards, and camera. Here’s what Google stated in a blog post:
“You probably keep your most important files and photos in different places—your computer, your phone, various SD cards, and that digital camera you use from time to time. It can be a challenge to keep all these things safe, backed up, and organized, so today we’re introducing Backup and Sync. It’s a simpler, speedier and more reliable way to protect the files and photos that mean the most to you. This new tool replaces the existing Google Photos desktop uploader and Drive for Mac/PC”
