Beta: Personal information like credit cards, emails, IP address, corporate accounts, and other information are stolen from people and openly sold on the dark web. An info-graphic shows the 2016 price tags for such information. An average VISA or MasterCard credit is sold for as low as £11 ($13.67) on the dark web in the United States.

We are aware of the fact that the Dark Web is a home to various online shops selling people’s private information like PII (Personally Identifiable Information), credit card details, email accounts, social security numbers, etc. These things are harvested during data breaches, online frauds by fooling people into clicking malicious links.

It’s illegal to perform such sale on the surface web or the world wide web we normally use.

Here is an info-graphic by the credit reporting agency Equifax’s UK division showing the approximate pricing details for 2016 of various personal stuff of the people sold on the dark web market along with other things like Trojans, exploit kits etc. It is evident from the info-graphic that a buyer won’t have to loosen pockets much such sensitive information.

Always try to keep your personal details safe and don’t enter them on unknown devices. Don’t to drop your thoughts and feedback.
